From September 10 to 20, 2025, the Panda Base conducted a science popularization theme event for the National Science Popularization Month and International Red Panda Day, titled “The Red Panda’s Happy Planet: A Journey of Discovery into Animal Welfare.”
The series of activities used scientific knowledge including the red panda’s living habits, habitat environment, behavioral training, and animal welfare as entry points. Through components such as thematic poster displays, lectures by scientific research experts, themed science presentations, fun interactive games, keeper behavioral training demonstrations, trainer challenges, panda science talks, environmental protection interaction sessions, distribution of promotional materials, and self-media promotions, it provided the public with a science popularization feast dedicated to red pandas. These multi-format and multi-layered approaches popularized red panda scientific knowledge, enhanced conservation awareness, and called for more people to pay attention to red pandas and join the efforts to protect them.
