From July to August 2025, the Chengdu Panda Base launched the “FUN Summer Vacation · Giant Panda DIY Studio” Series Science Popularization Theme Event at the Giant Panda Museum.
The event leveraged the world’s first giant panda themed museum to conduct a series of fun eco-science activities focused on the protection of wild animals, represented by the giant panda, targeting tourists, especially young students. The activities included creative painting, quiz challenges, scientific experiments, hands-on crafts, scenario-based games, and singing and dancing to animal-themed songs. This approach allowed students to learn through play and find joy in learning, aiming to cultivate their spirit of inquiry and exploration, practical skills, popularize scientific knowledge about wildlife, enhance awareness of natural environmental protection, and motivate active participation in environmental conservation efforts.
A total of 12 sessions of the activities were conducted, which received active public support and enthusiastic participation. These sessions reached an audience of approximately 4,800 individuals and distributed about 600 various science popularization promotional items.
