Online Debut of 2021 Newborn Cubs at Home and Abroad of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to Celebrate the Motherland’s Birthday

To celebrate the 72ndanniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and showcase the 2021 newborn cubs at home and abroad of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (hereinafter referred to as the “Panda Base”), the Panda Base held a 2021 newborn cub online debut event to celebrate the motherland’s birthday. In full consideration ofepidemic prevention and control, this eventwas held in the form of a video in place ofan in-person newborn panda debut in previous years.

In 2021, a total of 9 pandacubs of the Panda Base were bred at home and abroad, including 5at the Base, 2 at the Beauval Zoo in France, and 2 at the Madrid Zoo in Spain.
