On March 3, the sixth World Wildlife Day, the Walking through Beautiful Daxiangling Popular Science Exhibition, co-organized by the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and Xingjing Daxiangling Nature Reserve Administration, was officially opened to tourists in the Exploration Museum of the Base. On the back of the Sichuan Daxiangling Nature Reserve, the Exhibition vividly introduced the unique topography, ecological environment, rich flora and fauna resources, as well as the important role Daxiangling Nature Reserve occupies in securing ecological balance to guide the public to become more aware of environmental threats society faces today, publicize information about wildlife conservation, encourage the public to take action in every day, and jointly safeguard our beautiful home.
The successful Exhibition also showcased a series of activities of the Base’s 2019 Popular Science Month: Giant Panda Exploration, Scientific Dog Keeping in the Community, Earth Hour, and more, and we’re expecting a wide range of public participation.
Meanwhile, the Life Below Water Activity, sponsored by the Sichuan Wildlife Conservation Association, Sichuan Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Chengdu Garden City Construction Administration; and co-organized by the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and other units, was also held at the Chengdu Haohai Lifang on the same day.
In addition, the 2019 World Wildlife Day– Sichuan•Chengdu•Dujiangyan Wildlife Photography Exhibition, sponsored by the China Wildlife Conservation Association, Wildlife Conservation Bureau of the Sichuan Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Wildlife Conservation Bureau of the Chengdu Garden City Construction Administration; and co-organized by the Propaganda Department of the Dujiangyan Municipal Committee, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, and other units, was also open to the public at Nanqiao Square, Dujiangyan, on March 4.
